The reason that they can't get big name people to perform here is for that reason, if you come to Anderson you're going to be hassled by law enforcement. I've had people from NC, GA and TN ask me how I could live here when they found out where I was from. The reputation of Anderson proceeds it.

Maybe someone should tell Mr. Brill that the city of Anderson does not cover the whole county. But then the way county council and others act maybe it does. Seems like the city does get everything.

When the majority of the county tax money is spent to make district 5 the apple of certain peoples eyes, nothing will change. we have a county council that acts like a bunch of spoiled brats that refuse to increase taxes no matter what the reason. The county sinks $100,000+ in the running of the airport every year, year after year and who does it benefit, about 300 people that have planes. The airport would be better used as a drag strip, atleast that way it would make money. Anderson has a reputation (deserved or undeserved doesn't matter) that Law enforcement is going to hassel you, look for ways to fine you. Take Lake Hartwell, Greenville knows how to use it better than our county officials. Our county has closed the place down using the excuse of crime. The real reason was kids were going out on the lake having parties drinking, smoking pot, whatever and the thinking of our so called leaders was close all the parks down and they won't be able to do it. I got news for you, they just moved the party somewhere else. As long as our officials live and think in the 19th century, the rest of us are going to pay dearly for they're ignorance.
