Guy, you really should see a doctor. I'm worried that someday you may be the person that snaps and starts shooting the members of county council one night at a meeting.

If anderson county and Joey Preston anger you this much maybe you should leave. After all, they ARE out to get you....

P.S. In case you haven't noticed, no one believes a word you have to say anymore.

On Anderson dispatchers initiate life-and-death decisions with the push of a button

Oh, and just for some clarification, the Anderson City police department in no way, shape, or form answers to Joey Preston. The City is run independent of the county and is overseen by city council, the mayor, and the city manager -John Moore.

So to say that the officers or dispatchers do as please because that's what their leader does is so far out of line that you should be ashamed of yourself and you serve no other purpose on this board than to bash Joey Preston.

I don't the man either, but he isn't the cause of all of the worlds problems.

Guy, you can take off the tin foil hat and stop drinking the kool-aid, all of Anderson isn't out to get you.

You really should stop with all of the Joey Preston comments when they don't apply to the conversation at hand because it negates any validity that your statement may have had.

Obviously you need to re-read the article. What was heard on the tape was the officers radio -in the background of the telephone conversation between the 911 caller and the operator. It was not the officer talking to the dispatcher. What this means is that 4min and 11 seconds after the call was received at 911 there was an officer standing near the pearson who was on the phone with the dispatcher, thereby proving there wasn't a 20 something minute response time.

Obviously you do not know what you are talking about. Dispatchers have the ability to multi-task, then can talk to someone and take notes while providing information to a second dispatcher who can send an officer out.

It sounds like you are trying to speak of something that you know nothing about and wasted time typing up that sorry excuse for a response.

Let see, Far less officers per square mile in the county than the city AND you would rather trust the lives of your family to a group of volunteer firefighters who may or may not show up within a couple minutes as opposed to a fully staffed fire department.... That says a lot about your intelligence.

If you don't like the water rates then let the city annex you, You'll have faster responses from the police and fire department and lower rates too. Otherwise, quit complaining.

Is it really too much to ask that the county government improve the infrastructure of our roads prior to placing a significant increase of traffic on those roads? This school has zero effect on me, however I see first hand how across the state we don't plan for more traffic.

Woodruff road is a perfect example in Greenville... The government was so excited about getting businesses here in a hurry and didn't prepare the road infrastructure to support the new industries. HWY 81 at TL Hannah is another example. The county felt that expanding from 2 lanes to 4 was sufficient, but every morning and afternoon traffic is brought to a stop by crossing guards just to get vehicles in and out of the school parking lot. If SC doesn't start addressing the increased traffic demands it will negatively effect EVERYONE and will limit businesses from moving here, thereby effecting our economy as well.

A little common sense tells you that adding hundreds of cars to a road in a 1 hour time frame will REQUIRE expansion of the roadway and other traffic measure.

Stop trying to turn this into a rich folk/ poor folk battle and maybe everyone will make some positive headway on this and several other issues affecting Anderson County.

Your holier-than-thou attitude needs to be adjusted as you clearly cannot oversee every single law enforcement officer at every moment to verify their compliance to the posted speed limit.

Why not call into question the driving ability of the 84 year old female. After all every driver at that age cant drive the speed limit and always, carelessly, pull out in front of other drivers, causing accidents.

*The last statement is not intended to be an insult to the dear lady who passed away, it is simply taking JBOWEN's statement of absolutes and turning it around to prove that the use of absolute statements invalidates anything someone has to say.
