Taylor isn't running for sheriff. To me, even using the term Taylor/Skipper admin. is misleading and is only being used by those of you who are afraid of losing the authority you abuse so much. Thanks for reminding me of these issues though, and how they were taken care of during the Taylor administration and how the offenders were not allowed to continue working while they were being investigated. There were some pretty bad scandals out of Pickens County in the mid-90's that I can think of involving some deputies also, weren't there?

Thanks for the info, LT, but if he was holding the fishing buddies to a higher standard of professional conduct, Brock should have been disciplined months ago while being investigated for an incident in Oconee County. You should know as well as anyone, Brock has been fired with good reason from every dept. he has worked for and wasn't a shining example of professionalism for Anderson County. But thanks again for taking this opportunity to publicly kiss cousin Crenshaw's ample.......

1. Response times were manipulated by entering building checks as calls for service and creating an instant officer arrival times. Not honest.
2. There are not more deputies on the streets. Not honest.
3. 167% from when? I've been told this number, but no one has been able to tell me how it was figured. I'd love to hear it.
4. Accreditation was accomplished by copying Greenville City's policy manual, paying a fee, and putting on a show for reps from CALEA. Not a big deal, since policies are only followed when it is convenient for admin to get rid of someone when they have someone else in mind for their position.
5. There are more people on this interdiction team than there are working the road answering calls some nights. Good job on the award.
6. A sexual offender locater has been in place for a while. They just put a link to it on the SO website. 10 minutes well spent.

Very clever remark about the more with less, but if you find someone that believes that line again, let me know. I know he has been dishonest because that is what I've seen. Feel free to believe what you want. I do.

Just a question... What has Crenshaw done to show you that he is honest?

The jail didn't work for the previous administration.

quote....lazy, had horrible attitudes toward their work and people of the community, and thought they were totally untouchable b/c of who they were.

Above is an almost perfect description of a lot of current employees! I have been there for both (wasn't fired or hold a grudge about anything) and I know that there are more criminals inside the walls of the LEC than there has ever been before. If you think the issue is dead, don't comment. Most people who are afraid for another point of view to be heard is not so sure about their own.

Crenshaw is not doing better than the previous admin. Talk to some of us who have been there for both. I couldn't tell you what he has done for officers besides reduce our pay and hire deputies with no experience after getting rid of deputies with a lot of experience. Just offering some observations from someone who works there. I have too much time invested to go elsewhere and will continue to do my best at my job like most of us here because what I like to do is help people and not be pressured politically - and we are.

I am a deputy who has worked for both administrations and will tell you that things are not 120% better. About that much worse. There are not more deputies on the road...we are short on deputies and experience. I have too much time invested to go anywhere so I continue to do my best at my job but I wouldn't call people idiots that vote for Skipper. I would call people that vote for Crenshaw uninformed.
