I hope the students at Clemson and all that visit during this Homecoming Weekend, take the time to visit "THE WALL" for this is Homecoming to those who gave all. There are 58,195 stories on this Wall. Behind each name is a mother, dad, sister, bother, aunt, uncle, and many friends. These were our bothers and sisters who never received the heros welcome home. This generation can best understand what we as Vietnam Veterans experenced. Having seen our brave young men and women in Iraq accused of everything from torture, killing civilians,and storming homes in the dead of night while our enemy kills thousands through indescriminate car bombings. If we desert our country, we are punished, but if our country deserts us, that is dissent.

I am about to become a grandparent this November for the first time. I have seen pictures of my grandchild almost from conception to the present. All this time abortion would be legal, even into the 3rd trimester, known as late term abortion. This breaks my heart to even think of this happening. If the democrats are elected, I'm afraid they will promote abortion as a means of birth control. We will witness the greatest extermination of human life the world has ever seen. Remember, when human life begins is above Obama's pay grade. CHOOSE LIFE, not democrats!

How can a medical doctor in good faith be a member of the Democratic party? Isn't this the party of socialized medicine and abortion, including late term abortion? CHOOSE LIFE, not democrats!

Great article Scott! I'm glad someone is finally telling it like it is. With as much money as TB makes you would hope he has the answers. The AD at Clemson should have some explaining to do after the contract extention and increase in salary. TB is at best a mediocre coach who will never build Clemson into an ACC power, let along a National power. Look at the talent he has had, but could do nothing with. Remember those embarrassing games on national TV. I find it hard to believe we as Clemson Fans have had to suffer at the hands of TB for 10 years with 7 more to go. Lets start a fund to buy out his contract. I'll be glad to contribute.

When I was a small child my parents took me and my bothers and sisters to White City Park just about every weekend. They had a special bond with Rev. White because he married my mom and dad and they spent their honeymoon at the honeymoon cottage. Rev. White knew that many of the mill workers couldn't afford a big wedding or honeymoon, so he built the honeymoon cottage. I believe there was also an outdoor ampitheater. White City Park was on White City Park Rd., which is off Centerville Rd. approximately 5 miles from the Whitehall and Centerville Rd. intersection.
