In response to Niblits: Yes there was a celebration at Lakeside Middle School where more than 1000 Students, Teachers, Faculty, Staff, Veterans, and public officials, Mayor Terence Roberts, County Councilman Bill McAbee, & Former Principal Don Saxon were all present to help Lakeside honor the many Veterans at this beautiful ceremony.

Former Principal Don Saxon is also a wounded in action Marine Veteran and is the founder of this program at Lakeside Middle School in 1994. The program was presented by the Lakeside Chorus, Lakeside Band, Lakeside Flag bearers, Lakeside Faculty & Staff, and Lakeside students.

WWII Veteran & POW Earl Martin was the Guest of Honor and shared with the students and guests about his service and time in a Prisoner of War Camp in Germany. The full video of his account of his heroic service is available to be viewed at the Lakeside Middle School Library. If you want to see it you probably will have to have an appointment so call first.

During this time of historical significance with Barak Obama being elected President it was especially significant that these middle schoolers celebrated the veterans of this great country with Mayor Terrence Roberts, Councilman Bill McAbee, Principal & Veteran Don Saxon, Veteran Katina Wightman, and POW WWII Veteran Earl Martin.

I am proud that in this county we can have a gathering this large to honor all those who are serving and have served in our Military. God Bless America and thank you to all our veterans.

Robert's Rules of order may not be intended for government use however our laws and ordinances in Anderson County state that Anderson County uses Robert's Rules of order.

The SC Freedom of Information Act allows County Council's and their committees to go into executive session for legal, contractual and personnel matters. It seems based on this the law has been followed.

I was not talking about myself as I do not work for our Anderson County Economic Development Department. I was talking about the highly intelligent and very well qualified women that work in the Anderson County Economic Development Office.

And just as the personal and professional attacks against Palin began, the attacks against me continue. This pattern of unfounded and lie based attacks against women, myself included, in our political and professional arena has to stop.

Kevin Bryant not only supported the candidates that laughed about and used these sexually harassing and degradation filled commercials against women he actively campaigned for these candidates and laughed at these commercials.

Kevin Bryant believes that women should be stay at home moms as do the candidates that ran those commercials against women in the work force.

Meadors is for equality for all, not just middle aged wealthy men like Bryant.

Say no to the sexual harassment! Say no to legislating medical procedures being mandated for women. Say no taking money out of the public school for private profit. Say not to Kevin Bryant's active support of candidates that support the sexual harassment and degradation of the hard working and well qualified women that work for the Anderson Count Economic Development Office. Say NO to Bryant.

We need real change in our state government. Change that says families come first. Change that says equality for all in the work place. Change that means health care for all! Change that means we can afford to care for our families. Change that says NO to sexual harassment of Women. Vote Meadors for real change for real families.

Kevin Bryant supported the local candidates that used sexually harassing and degrading campaign efforts against women working in the economic development office in Anderson County. Do we really need a candidate that thinks it's okay to support the degradation of well educated and hard working women just to win a local campaign? NO!

Do we really need a Senator that is spending more time medaling in local politics and degrading local well educated and qualified women than doing his job in Columbia? NO!

Do we really need a Senator that is more interested in putting public education dollars into private institutions? NO!

Do we really need a Senator that thinks its okay to mandate medical procedures for women? The answer is NO!!!!!

I am and have always voted Republican however I say Palin is removing the glass ceiling for women by making this country realize that the sexual harassment and lies against women in politics is no longer accepted practice. Send Senator Bryant home and put a candidate in Columbia that will support equality for all not just Bryant's chosen few.

VOTE MEADOR'S for Senator in District 3!

This is a great opportunity to show the world that we are embracing technology, helping South Carolina stand out globally. I hope this program works and can be implemented statewide.

There is no way you can tell if this young woman is a good mother or not by this story. You are making a lot of unfair assumptions, who knows she may have been away from the baby's father for her baby's protection. Don't remove the child, this mother was willing to fight for her baby so far as to go to jail for her. That to me is a sign of a very loving mother. Shame on the baby's father for behaving like a child.

Since she cares that much for her baby, give her a chance. I'm surprised that this young mother is being so brutally belittled for fighting to keep her child. All I see in this article is a young man that is playing a game with a precious child and using this precious child to further hurt a young mother that obviously loves her baby.

I hope the family court Judge can see through the game that this father is playing. If he truly was worried about the baby' well being he wouldn't have behaved this way, he would have called DSS for intervention. PLLLEEAASEEE!!!

This mother behaved as any good mother would, She fought to keep her child with her. If the father was truly concerned for the child's well being he would have gone to DSS. Instead he instigated an already emotional situation.

Further his story about getting lost in Six Mile is plausible except why didn't he call for directions or stop at the stop a minute and ask.

This is clearly an immature young man using the heartstrings of a young mother to perpetrate more emotional pain.
