It does not require the study of a university professor to know talking and texting on a cell phone while driving is dangerous. Plain common sense tells me this. A law needs to be passed to outlaw this while driving and also talking inside a restaurant on a cell phone while other people are trying to enjoy their meal. Of course this would require a committee and a study to see if it disturbs other people!! What a waste of time when common sense people already know such practices are dangerous.
Don Carrigan states that all patients are charged the same, if that is true why does the hospital not have a set rate for each procedure done and charge everyone the same for it. Example: x-ray $1000non insured patient $1000insured patient $100080% insurance pay $800net patient pay $200
With this as an example everyone is charged the same regardless. However we know with an insured patient the $1000 x-ray after discounts and write offs will only be billed for one half or less, so no Mr. Carrigan everyone is not billed the same when cash payment for a procedure is done. My wife has had numerous hospitalizations so i know how the system works against the uninsured compared to the money corporate insurance companies with their peaks and kickbacks to do business with them.
I too have been a victim of unethical billing of services of both AnMed and Oconee Memorial Hospital. How can a hospital official say all patients are charged the same for a procedure when he knows that medicare and insurance companies are going to write off a certain percentage of the bill. If i pay cash for a procedure why am i not charged the same as an insured person, be it medicare or other medical insurance, after the final dollar amount is arrived at after the write offs and deductions given insured patients? Why do i have to supplement other patients by being charged more? It was interesting on WSPA TV7 when the representive that is over the House Medical Affairs Committee seemed completely lost for any answers when questions were asked about double standard billing.
WHY NOT LOWER THE ROADBED ON THE APPROACH TO THE BRIDGE AND UNDERNEATH IT A FEW INCHES IN ORDER TO LET THE TRUCKS PASS UNDERNEATH SAFELY? I AM NOT AN EXPERT BUT IT SURE BEATS BUILDING A NEW BRIDGE
why not lower the roadbed approaching the bridge and beneath it allowing enough room for the trucks to safely pass underneath. sure beats building a new bridge
