WHY DO WE HAVE TO PUT OTHERS DOWN. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED THAT NIGHT OR WHETHER COUNCILMAN STEWART MADE THE RIGHT DECISION OR NOT, BUT I DO KNOW THAT MR. STEWART IS A GOOD MAN AND HAS DONE A LOT TO HELP MANY PEOPLE. I'VE BEEN IN ANDERSON ABOUT 10 YEARS NOW, I'VE HEARD PEOPLE TRY TO RAKE MR. STEWART OVER THE COALS, NEVER HAVE I'VE SEEN MR. STEWART DO ANYTHING BUT HELP. THEREFORE, I JUST WANTED TO LET THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE READ THE NEGATIVE ABOUT MR. STEWART KNOW THAT THERE ARE SOME OF US THAT BELIEVE MR. STEWART IS A FINE PERSON.

THIS SMELLS LIKE SOMEONE MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN TO HER WITH SOME MONEY-"NO STATEMENT" GIVEN BY THE GIRLFRIEND AND THE GIRLFRIEND NOT SHOWING UP. SOUNDS LIKE TO ME, SOMEBODY IS GOING THROUGH A LOT OF TROUBLE TO MAKE SURE HE PLAYS THIS FALL. RIGHT NOW FOOTBALL SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF THE EQUATION-HE NEEDS TO GET HELP! OBVIOUSLY, HE DID SOMETHING TO THIS WOMAN, THEREFORE HE SHOULD SIT THIS SEASON OUT AND THINK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS ACTIONS. IT WOULD SEND A STRONG MESSAGE TO THE OTHER PLAYERS THAT IT IS WRONG TO HIT A WOMAN.

It seeems as though we are happy when others are dealing with misfortune or in the middle of a very trying situation. Officer Scott and Officer Rich are good people and even if the investigation makes a finding that they violated policy, they are still good people. We must understand that we ALL HAVE MADE MISTAKES. I read in the good book that Jesus refused to condemn the woman who had been caught in adultery, the very ones who were ready to condemn and stone her to death couldn't, because they realized that their lives were littered with bad decisions or wrong choices. Why can't we pray for them and their families and hope for the best for them and not the worst. We must remember that the good book also states that how we judge others will be the same way we are judged.
