Their fine will probably cost them more than it would have to just pay for the merchandise. People are so stupid!

Spider, Nick is far from any of the things that you have mentioned about him. Not wanting you to post may be Nicks way to keep Anderson Talk Zone (formerly The Cocklebur ) moving in a positive direction. Unfortunately Spider, every forum you become a part of turns into nothing but ridiculous arguments.

Im sure Dennis Gough is a great guy with the best intentions regarding his choice to run for sheriff but he does not sound like the best choice for Anderson. It doesnt sound like any of his ideas were thought through very well. I am by far a Skipper supporter but in this case, I would have to say that Skipper is the best candidate for the job. Hopefully he can control the budget everyone loves to complain about. Personally I dont see anything changing. To cut the budget would mean cutting service and that would be a bad idea.

Perrys wife is a doctor, Im sure they had plenty of money well before he became pastor at Newspring. I would think everyone could just be happy that Newspring attracts some to go to church that were never interested before. Isnt that what its all about anyway? All churches try to get as many members as they can yet Newspring takes all the crap because they are accomplishing so much.

You are right! Susie and Brian are on top the world right now awaiting the arrival of a baby boy. It would take alot more than some negative comments to bring them down! :)

Brian and Susie ( my uncle and aunt) are anything but "selfish". These two people would do anything for anyone. Deciding not to adopt was a hard choice for them to make and they should not be judged by anyone for the choices that they made. There are many of us who "could" adopt children but choose not to. There are also many women who cannot have children and try every option to have a child of their own. To most women, having a baby is very important and there is a special bond between a newborn and the mother that cannot be replaced. No one can blame Susie for wanting to experience that feeling. Susie and Brian are wonderful people who never missed an opportunity to spend time with me as a child. Now that I am 29 years old, they also spend time with my 2 girls. Until you have been in their position, there is no way that you can understand how much heartbreak they have been through because of this. This is such a blessing that they are experiencing right now and I find it hard to believe that anyone would call it selfish.

I agree, $32 for food at Besto is alot.. It's sad that things have gotten so bad that people are lying just to get a meal.
lynfo, I also agree with you that these places throw away so much food that it should not hurt them to help out if they can. When I was in high school , I worked part time at Dunkin Donuts. We were instructed to throw everything away at closing and not give any food away. Several nights a week , I would box the donuts and some extra cups of coffee and sit them outside the back door for some of the homeless men who slept nearby. They were always appreciative and never asked for anything from me. THey were just happy to have some food. When my manager found out about this, he fired me. He said it was aganst company policy. I could never understand why it mattered since the food was being thrown away. Some people have no compassion.
On Free meal deal sounds a little fishy to Anderson restaurant operator

Please~ do not welcome back the Taylor admin. I hope Skipper has his own way of doing things so that he will not rely on the mistakes that Taylor made. Of course the budget has doubled just as it should have years ago. Our sheriffs office has been underfunded for more than 10 years. I would think some of you would be happy that we had a sheriff who was willing to get the sheriffs office what was needed. I would not sit here and tell you that Crenshaw has done EVERYTHING right anymore than you can tell me that Skipper will in the future. At some point you need to realize that these candidates are all just human beings.
As far as Dennis Gough, I dont think he is qualified for the job. While he may have the best of intentions, I dont think they are well thought through.
