AG McMaster has went after real corruption at every turn. The fact he finds no corruption in Anderson just pisses you off. The fact is the legally elected council cut a deal with Preston to end his legal contract. Now AG McMaster is part of the Preston conspiracy over all of us? You can not be that stupid.
Preston is gone. Get over it. We have a new council that needs to tackle the real problems facing the county. We have no time for petty personal vendettas.

Let's celebrate the fact Preston is gone. Like Clemaon with Bowden, we had to cut a deal. Thank the Good Lord we did and the Preston nightmare is over! The deal cut was about the best we could get. I am sorry Stan, (Cindy Roper) that you and yours did got some jail time for Preston.
It is over now. With these trying economic times, the new council needs to move on. If they dwell on the past, we in the county will send them out.

I am no cohort of Preston I frankly do not like the man and I am glad to see him go. However, I live in the real world, and in the real world, we have to settle contracts. Cindy Roper aka Stan, do you really want Anderson to a place that future job makers see as a place that does not honor its word?

Oh, Stan, I understand that Joey Preston is behind the fall of the gas prices since he was getting a Yukon from the county and did not want to pay higher fuel prices.
Preston is also rumored to be behind the failure of AIG and the BHP Bears not winning a state championship in football this year.

If the new council dwells on Preston and the old council, they will be out in two years.
Cindy, you won your great personal saga with your anti-hero Joey Preston. . Now, please do something to bring more jobs to your district.
Ms. Wilson, we in District 7 need a full time council member working for us, not against an old foe to the bitter end. Grow up and work for the people.

I am well educated. I dare to contend I hold a higher degree than the vast majority of psuedo intellectuals who dismiss as ignorant the voters who voted down the sales tax increase.
The Anderson County electorate is not filled with ignorant bumpkins, but with people with both education and commonsense.
The projects listed on the sales tax project did not include projects that were sorely needed, but instead included pet projects of politicians.
The people, with their wisdom, not their backwardness, saw through the rouge and voted no.
Come back in two years with a list of truly needed projects and you might find the educated and informed voters ofAnderson County more receptive.
Continue to call them bumpkins for not giving you your fill of pork and you wil get the same results.
The problem is not the ignorance of the people of Anderson County to those of you wanting pet projects, but the wisdom of the people of Anderson County in seeing your narrow agenda.
