no one said that this guy should not be punished, but if this had been any other individual this would not have even been in the paper. it would have just been a wreck. i think we should leave this subject along and let the sheriff make the decision on what punishment he will receive.

if he had pulled over to take a nap he could have been crucified by the public. these offices pull over to eat a sandwich or even do paper work and if someone sees them they will call and say the officers are not working and just sitting around. they really don't stand a chance. they ride around in that car for 12 hours a shift. that car is their office. they have to do everything in that car except go to the restroom.

this guy is only human. like the comment before many of these officers have to work 2 and 3 jobs just to have money to pay their bills. you can't honestly tell me that you have never made a mistake on your job or even fallen asleep before. we are all thankful no one was injured, but this was just an accident. i feel for this officer and all that work at the sheriff's office. you would think the pay would be better for people that are out protecting us. i know they took these jobs knowing the pay, but someone has to do the job and these officers enjoy what they do or they would not be out there.

yeah we really need to fix our parks and recreational areas up. who wants to take their girlfriend to an area that is not nice. some people may be runnig out of areas to hide.

the only thing about pierce is that he don't care if the person is guilty or not, he will still splash their name all in the paper if given the chance only to find out later that not everyone accused of something is guilty.

That was not deputy cars. That was cars that belong to the City Of Anderson PD not the county. The county deputies have plenty to do and not enough time to do what they do have to do. They usually have to time after work just getting caught up on paper work from calls from people that have nothing more to do than call the police.
I hope from now on you can tell the difference from the 2 departments cars. Maybe the City offices don't have anymore to do than sit, but if you see a county deputy sitting they will be working on paper work.

You don't think we could really know what was going on unless we were there. I think it is a shame that we the public are so quick to critize our police officers. These guys are doing there job and can not please everyone. The very people that put them down are the very ones that call the Sheriff's Office for stupid calls and wants the police there right away. Give our officers a break and don't always try to put them down.

i think that crenshaw has done a good job and i also think that given another 4 years he will do an even better job. the one that needs to be gone is joey preston. crenshaw is doing what he should be doing, is mr. preston. if mr. preston was doing as he should a cover up would not be needed. don't blame one for the others mistakes.
