Please take this article with a grain of salt. While there is some truth to it, it is misleading. After seeing cases for more the two decades, I can tell you that in some people that get the common cold this seems to turn into bacteria before it's over and taking an antibiotic in the early stages will often prevent the infection from getting bad. It helps the body to be able to recover and fight off the infection faster. If you remember as a kid seeing a doctor with colds and sore throats you always received an antibiotic. Within days you were better. That's because a bacteria infection was not able to grow while you body was fighting the virsus. However, physicians are told by the CDC to wait until the infection is serious to give the antibiotic. They are concerned about the bacteria becoming resistant to the drugs. Having said this, if you are one of those people who get a cold and fight it off without history of infections in the late stages, please don't take antiboitics. Some people are having good outcomes taking the cold rememdies that contain zinc salt: EX: Zicam, etc. Using salt water in you sinus will help keep the mucus passing along with drinking plenty of water. God bless and may you all be healthy during this cold/flu season.

Actually under Gracie Floyd's leadership crime has grown in her district. Maybe some of her funds could be used to help the people of the district with such problems that lead them to crime. Something needs to be done with that district...

In reponse to In_Search_of_Truths.... There are some positives about OBAMA becoming president.
Since a black man can rise to the office of the President, we can start to eliminate the some of the laws and programs that discriminate against white people. Our children will have equal opportunity for College grants and scholarships...

Horace Alexander is a joke. He is simply someone trying to stir up trouble because of his race. He actually gives African-Americans a bad name.

In response to all of you... It is really easy to set in judgement when you don't have to resolve the issue. We are working very hard to provide care and do it at a reasonable cost. Pretend for one minute that you own a business and people are not paying you. How do you pay the bills??? Unless you work in health care it is hard to understand, but there are hundreds of people working behind the scenes(making a living just like you) making sure that your blood work get processed correctly, your radiology exams are read correctly, you heart is checked out so that you don't come back an sue us. We do care about prices. We pay the same prices that you do. So do our families. After more than two decades in health care, I can say that we are not perfect but strive for excellence. Remember you do have a choice. There are other hospitals that you can use. The people complaining are usually the ones who won't pay. If you want to do something constructive, pray for our leaders that they have the wisdom to resolve these issues. As for the marble floors, Yes after 20 years we are upgrading our buildings to code and to provide patients and their families some comforts while away from their homes. If you comes to us and everything is worn out, you will also complain. So for all of your wining,,, stand up and do something positive to help. Make a difference.

In response to SayWhat.... What makes my angry is when black people write things that are racist and mention in their comments that they are white. You are not.... Since you think that white people profile... Look at you name ,SAYWHAT, something that the black people say all of the time. Also, your comments are racist against white people. Put the two together and we have a liar.
