Talk about nit-picking and twisting!!! Andrew.Hammett took a general, and complimentary, comment and attempted to twist it into an argument. Methinks someone needs to chill---big time!

Exactly....now guess who gets to support this "father's" children....Yeah, we do. In fact, we will support this "father" (I use the term father loosely as this guy is far from that and far from being a man.) while he lives out his carefree prison life. The solicitor's office should be ashamed for not going for the death penalty against all the murderers!

Exactly. Exactly. No doubt about it---we are OVER taxed now.
But with this tax, EVERYONE would have contributed, not just property owners.I fail to understand how any intelligent person could not understand this concept.

No, I am not making an assumption of reduced property tax. My only assumption in no increase in the property taxes to provide for these expenditures. But more than that: This would have been a more fair tax to the citizens of Anderson County and the surrounding areas. USERS would pay this tax, not so much just hardworking people and their families. Everyone would pay!

I voted YES, and I am taxed to death. WHy did I vote yes? Look at the big picture: This tax would have funded public services. These projects are going to have to be funded; now, most likely these will be funded by property taxes. I pay plenty in property taxes, too much!! The vast majority of property taxes come from the middle class who own homes and cars. Deadbeats and illegals do not pay property taxes, but they DO purchase!! This is hte only fair tax that does not tax people who are here legally and work each day trying to have something!
Anderson County voters really dropped the ball on this one! Just sit back and pay for it thru property taxes while others benefit from your tax payments!!

Hopefully, Clemson City Council will wake up and realize they need to encourage businesses seeking to locate in Clemson which will provide jobs and keep people shopping in the Clemson area rather than going to Seneca, Anderson or Easley!!

I "got" that from the start. What I am speaking to is the semantics. He was fired=payoff; resigns=no payoff.
So, what I am saying is: Bowden can't have it both ways. He was fired! Therefore, he gets the money.Call a spade a spade!
