Nathan Gray Anderson Soiree 2007 Balloon animals and funnel cakes were just part of what crowds talked about Saturday as they took in the final day of Anderson Soiree. One reason Karen Barnhardt of Anderson made it a point to visit Soiree this year, she said, was to see the progress being made on renovation of the Chiquola Hotel downtown. She thinks the work is going very well, she said. “I hope downtown becomes the place to be,” she said as she and her husband, Kent, took a break Saturday afternoon in front of the Sullivan building on Main Street. Ms. Barnhardt said she was glad to see the local artists and musicians who are part of Soiree. |
